Samosir Lake Toba Ultra • 2017

The Third SAMOSIR LAKE TOBA ULTRA 2017 will be held on 23 September 2017. The race will be the 5 km, 10km, 25km and 50 km and having course that will take runners around the largest caldera TOBA lake, through many traditional villages, past the beauty of samosir ancient places and some of the most beauty and stunning scenery in Indonesia.

A spectacular course will also take runners through places of traditional cultural BATAK TOBA people, the most popular people of Samosir Island.

A total of 1500 participants, including over 100 international athletes and many of the world’s best runners, will run the race of their lives on Samosir Island, one of beauty places in Indonesia, another alternative race for runners in Indonesia to be considered. Lake TOBA and Samosir Island are located in high elevation area, so it will be race in mountain area and beach area in one place. It is one pack race – mountain and beach race.

Saat mengikuti perlombaan ini, para peserta tidak hanya sekadar berlari. Mereka disajikan pesona Kabupaten Samosir baik alam, kesegaran udara, dan aktivitas kekayaan budaya lokal. Para pelari bisa menikmati perbukitan yang hijau, jajaran pohon pinus, dan beningnya air danau.

Kekayaan budaya lokal terlihat dengan penempatan sejumlah penari tor-tor maupun pemuda yang memainkan alat musik gondang di setiap station water.

Selama berlari, pelari juga akan melewati beberapa destinasi wisata seperti Sianjur Mula-mula yang merupakan salah satu distrik dari 9 distrik di Samosir. Desa ini menjadi destinasi wisata karena dikelilingi sawah dengan pemandangan indah.
